Service & Management

Quick, reliable service was a hard thing to find.

So we stopped looking for it. The department that services your boat is in the same building that lists it, hauls it and stores it — and it answers to the same people.

Why we have a yard

We started our own service department.

Over the years we found that quick, reliable service was a hard thing to find. Because we are primarily a yacht brokerage, our need is usually time-sensitive — a closing date does not move because a yard is booked out three weeks.

Like in any field, the good service providers are busy with good clients. So we started our own department. It lets us rectify survey issues quickly while a deal is live, and it lets us look after our clients properly long after the sale.

Survey items, while the deal is live

A closing date does not move because a yard is booked out three weeks. Ours is not, because it is ours.

Looked after long after the sale

The department that commissioned the boat is the one that services it next spring, and the spring after that.

Capabilities

What the department actually does.

Electronics installation and repair

Chartplotters, radar, autopilot, audio and underwater lighting — specified, fitted and commissioned in-house.

Full retrofits

Repower, rewire, re-rig. The projects that need a boat inside for weeks and a team that can keep it there.

Weekly cleanings

A standing wash schedule through the season, so the boat is ready the day you want it.

Professional detailing

Compound, polish and protect — before a listing photo shoot, before a survey, or before a season.

Project management

One person owning the schedule, the vendors and the budget, and one number to call about all of it.

Problem solving of any kind

Their words, and they mean them. If we cannot do it in this building, we know who can.

Service scheduler

Tell us about the boat and we will book it in.

The more of this you fill in, the better the estimate we can come back with — but none of it is required beyond a way to reach you. Shop labour is charged at $120.00 per hour, and we confirm the work before we start it.
