What is the Neversoft pump cap?
Neversoft is a solar-powered automatic air pressure management pump cap that replaces the existing valve cap on your inflatable boat tubes. It monitors and maintains tube pressure to help keep your boat ready for use.
Why does tube pressure matter?
Correct tube pressure supports handling and helps protect the tube fabric and seams. Under-inflated tubes flex more, while excessive pressure can stress or damage the tubes. Neversoft helps maintain pressure, alongside the checks and maintenance recommended by your boat manufacturer.
Can Neversoft repair a puncture or damaged valve?
No. Pressure maintenance does not repair punctures, damaged seams or faulty valves. If a chamber loses air unusually quickly, investigate the cause and follow your boat manufacturer's repair guidance before use.
Installation and pressure
Can I inflate my boat from flat?
No. Inflate your boat close to the manufacturer's rated maximum tube pressure before installing Neversoft caps. The caps are designed to maintain pressure, rather than inflate a completely flat boat. Follow your boat manufacturer's inflation guidance.
What pressure setting should I use?
Use the pressure specified by your boat manufacturer. This may be printed near the tube valve; otherwise, consult the owner's manual or a dealer for your boat brand. Compatibility tables are guidance only and may not have been verified with every manufacturer. Confirm the pressure for your particular boat before programming the caps.
Does Neversoft have an over-inflation safety feature?
Each Neversoft cap includes a built-in 4 PSI pressure relief valve that releases excess pressure. This is a protective feature, not a recommended pressure setting for every boat. Always use the tube pressure specified by your boat manufacturer.
How do I install Neversoft pumps?
Unscrew your existing valve cap and screw the matching Neversoft cap onto the existing valve stem. Installation requires no tools. Inflate the tubes first and complete the pressure setup before use.
Do I need to set the pressure level?
Yes. Before first use, select the pressure mode that matches your boat manufacturer's recommended tube pressure. This is the initial setup for your boat.
Choosing your caps
How many Neversoft caps do I need?
Use one cap per air chamber. Most inflatable boats have 3 to 7 chambers. Check your owner's manual or count the existing tube valve caps to determine the quantity you need.
Will Neversoft fit my boat?
Neversoft supports compatible valves from Halkey-Roberts, Summit, Leafield C7/D7 and Zodiac. The exact valve fitting determines compatibility, so check the valve on your boat before selecting an option.
Does Neversoft work on older inflatable boats?
Yes. Boat age does not determine compatibility; the valve type does. If your boat has a supported valve, Neversoft can be fitted as an upgrade.
Does it work with Hypalon, PVC and urethane tubes?
Yes. Neversoft can be used with these inflatable tube materials. Compatibility depends on the valve type, rather than the tube material.
What colors are available?
Neversoft is available in Light Gray, Dark Gray and Black to complement your boat. Check the product page for currently selectable colors and valve configurations.
Everyday operation
What happens if I cover my boat?
A charged battery allows the pump to continue operating when needed while the boat is covered, for as long as sufficient charge remains. Uncovering the solar panel allows it to charge again when suitable sunlight is available.
Why are the LEDs flashing during the day?
Flashing LEDs during daytime charging indicate that the battery is charging.
Will the cap sink if I drop it in the water?
No. Neversoft is designed to float.
Does it work while I am on the water?
Yes. Neversoft maintains tube pressure during use on the water, on a trailer or in storage, provided the pump has sufficient power and is correctly installed and set up.
Does Neversoft balance pressure between chambers?
Each cap monitors and maintains its own chamber independently. With a cap fitted to each chamber and the correct pressure settings selected, the caps help maintain consistent pressure across the tubes.
